At about 3:20 a.m. on April 28, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a fire report at house number 87, lane 99/110/85 Dinh Cong Ha, Dinh Cong ward, Hoang Mai district.
The Center immediately mobilized 7 specialized vehicles along with officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to the scene, coordinating with local authorities, Dinh Cong Ward Police and people to organize fire fighting.

At the time of the fire, the fire had broken out on the 2nd floor and spread to the 3rd floor. The ward police coordinated with local residents to use fire extinguishers and fire hydrants to initially put out the fire. The house had an escape route on the 3rd floor and the attic. The house was located deep in the alley, about 30m from the road, the fire generated a lot of smoke and toxic gas, making it difficult for fire fighting and rescue operations.
Authorities quickly deployed firefighting equipment, rescued one injured person, brought him outside, and handed him over to medical staff for emergency treatment.
By 3:46 a.m., the fire was basically extinguished. Authorities discovered three victims had died of smoke inhalation in a third-floor bedroom.
The 3 deceased people were born in 1994, 2023, 1970, all 3 people had permanent residence: Group 3, Quang Minh town, Me Linh, Hanoi.
The City Police Director has directed units to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the fire, and coordinate with relevant agencies and local authorities to visit and encourage the victim's family and overcome the consequences.
