Ms. Huong does good business thanks to TYM loan capital.

Ms. Huong's family's rice cake production facility achieves revenue of 1.8 billion VND/year.

Recently, we had the opportunity to visit the sticky rice cake production facility of Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong's family in Tranh Xuyen village, Dong Tam commune (Ninh Giang). Indeed, Ms. Huong's family has been quite successful with this traditional production model.

Currently, Ms. Huong's family's rice cake production facility sells about 1,000 cakes per day, with a selling price of 5,000 VND/cake, earning about 1.8 billion VND/year. Her family's facility is providing stable jobs for 20 workers, with an income of about 50 million VND/person/year. The work is easy and the income is stable compared to many other jobs in the countryside, so the workers are committed and enthusiastic about their work.

According to Ms. Huong, this result is partly due to her borrowing capital from the Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization (TYM). Ms. Huong said that nearly 20 years ago, she participated in borrowing capital from TYM. At that time, her family was quite difficult. With a loan of 3 million VND from the organization, she invested in a small grocery store and selling breakfast at home. Although the work was hard, thanks to her perseverance and hard work, the income was enough to help her family with daily expenses.

Officers and members of TYM Organization came to visit and learn about the family's business model and gave gifts to Ms. Huong.

In 2010, after attending the training course “Gender and Business” organized by TYM Hai Duong branch, Ms. Huong had a new perspective and changed her business thinking. She boldly switched to the model of producing gai cake - a traditional industry in the locality. At that time, Ms. Huong’s family had a capital of 100 million VND. She decided to apply and TYM agreed to lend her 30 million VND to have more capital to start her business.

After 19 years of hard work and dedication to TYM, Ms. Huong and her family have built a decent foundation that many people dream of. Not only does she have a large-scale rice cake production facility, but her family has also opened two restaurants in Ninh Giang town. The income from the business not only helps her family have a comfortable life but also has money for her three children to study abroad in Korea.

Ms. Huong shared that although her family's economy is quite good and her children are grown, she still maintains the principle of having discipline in spending family finances, no matter what the circumstances, she still has to work and save. By joining TYM, she has learned this, helping her family succeed, creating a solid foundation for her children to follow.
