Compensation payment, support for land clearance of expressway project for households in Dai Tam commune

STO - On the morning of June 3, at the Dai Tam Commune Cultural House, the Compensation Council, Support for Site Clearance and Resettlement of the My Xuyen District Expressway Project coordinated to organize the payment of compensation for site clearance of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1, through Dai Tam Commune, My Xuyen District (Soc Trang). Attending the payment ceremony were comrades: Ho Thi Cam Dao - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dang Van Phuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Xuyen District.

Dai Tam is the last commune in My Xuyen district to pay money to households affected by the expressway project. Accordingly, 234/247 households received compensation, support and resettlement money, with an amount of over 86.7 billion VND, of which, land compensation was over 52.4 billion VND; compensation for houses, works, architectural works, plants, crops, graves, house relocation was over 8.1 billion VND and support money was over 26 billion VND. The number of households receiving compensation and support money was at least 632,000 VND and the most was over 3 billion VND.

Speaking at the payment ceremony, comrade Dang Van Phuong acknowledged, praised and thanked the people of Dai Tam commune for their support, agreement and cooperation with the Party Committee and the government in implementing the expressway project. The Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of My Xuyen district said that in order to pay compensation to the people, the locality has organized many meetings with the people to ask for their opinions on each specific task, from publicizing the project to announcing the land acquisition area, announcing the price... In addition, the consulting, surveying, measuring and counting work was carried out impartially, objectively and transparently. Thanks to that, Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1 received the agreement and high consensus of the people of Dai Tam commune and the communes and towns affected by the expressway project, contributing greatly to the district in successfully implementing the site clearance work.
