Caring for workers' lives
Despite many difficulties in recent years, Dak Lak Rubber Joint Stock Company has always paid attention to attracting and retaining employees, especially taking care of workers' lives. The company currently has nearly 2,400 employees, of which 1,987 are direct workers.
To create regular jobs and stable income for employees, the company has boldly transformed its production and business activities, closely following market developments to find partners and expand customers for rubber products...
Mr. Nguyen Viet Tuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dak Lak Rubber Joint Stock Company visited and encouraged workers at the 19/8 Farm branch. |
Every May (Workers' Month), the company organizes a "Thank You to Employees" meeting to honor the value of employees and thank them for their positive contributions. According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Tuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dak Lak Rubber Joint Stock Company, employees who have worked at the company for 22 years (for direct employees) and 25 years (for indirect employees) will receive gifts (cash) and thank-you letters from the company's leaders. This is a very meaningful thing to do, adding motivation for employees to feel secure in sticking with the company.
In 2024, the number of newly established enterprises in the province increased by 2.9% compared to 2023, contributing to job creation for workers. The average salary of employees at state-owned enterprises and joint-stock enterprises with State capital contribution is 8.03 million VND/person/month; non-state enterprises are 7.59 million VND/person/month and FDI enterprises are 6.6 million VND/person/month. |
Most of the company's direct workers are ethnic minorities, whose lives are still difficult, so in recent years, the company and the trade union have paid special attention to supporting and caring for the lives of these people. In addition to regularly giving gifts on holidays, Tet, Workers' Month, rubber latex exploitation launching ceremonies, etc., the company also provides funding to support the construction of union shelters, support livestock breeds; reward or organize tours and sightseeing for cadres, workers and children of cadres and workers who have achieved high academic achievements, etc.
For example, in April 2025, the company supported the construction of 10 Trade Union Shelters (worth 50 million VND/house) and gave 6 breeding cows (total value 90 million VND) to workers in difficult circumstances to help them stabilize their lives and feel secure in working and producing.
Currently, the average income per capita of the company's officers, employees and workers is 7.56 million VND/month; by 2025, this level is expected to reach 8.41 million VND/month.
Goodwill from business owners
Since 2024, businesses in Dak Lak have restored production activities and increased labor recruitment. In April 2025 alone, the Provincial Employment Service Center chaired and coordinated the organization of 3 job fairs with a total recruitment demand of 3,700 people from businesses and units; the Center also had 130 units and businesses with recruitment needs of 7,282 people.
Among them, many enterprises such as KVD VINA Company Limited (Tan An Industrial Park), Able Joy Dak Lak Garment Company Limited (Hoa Phu Industrial Park) have a need to recruit hundreds, even thousands of workers but still cannot recruit enough.
In fact, labor shortage is one of the issues that businesses and production facilities are concerned about. Therefore, to strengthen the connection and retain employees, the most important measure is the goodwill of businesses and production facility owners. In particular, the remuneration policy does not stop at attractive salary and bonus levels but includes an ecosystem of different factors, deeply affecting the satisfaction and motivation of employees.

Specifically, in addition to ensuring an income level commensurate with the employee's capacity and contribution, along with welfare regimes such as insurance, vacation, holiday and Tet bonuses, travel and lunch allowances, etc., it is necessary to create conditions for employees to receive training to improve their skills, participate in challenging projects, and have a clear career path; build an open, respectful working environment that encourages creativity and cooperation; care about the mental and physical health of employees; regularly recognize employee contributions, and have a transparent and fair performance evaluation system, etc.
In the context of deep economic integration and fierce competition in the current labor market, attracting and especially retaining employees has become one of the top priorities of businesses. It is not simply a matter of recruitment and retraining costs, but more deeply, the stability and commitment of the workforce is a solid foundation for sustainable development and creating long-term competitive advantages.
