Chairman of the Slovak National Assembly receives Ambassador Pham Truong Giang

Speaker of the National Assembly Richard Raci said that over the years in various positions he has always supported the development of relations between Slovakia and Vietnam.

On May 27, Chairman of the Slovak National Assembly Richard Raci had a cordial reception with Ambassador Pham Truong Giang before the opening session of the National Assembly.

Speaker of the National Assembly Richard Raci said that over the years in various positions in local and central government as well as currently in the National Assembly, he has always supported the development of relations between Slovakia and Vietnam.

Pleased with the recent positive developments, Mr. Richard Raci believes that the relationship between the two sides still has much potential for cooperation and is ready to coordinate to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, including delegations from the two countries' parliaments. In the immediate future, the two sides need to resume the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee to review and discuss potential areas of cooperation.

President Richard Raci shared that he had the opportunity to visit Vietnam many times and always kept positive memories of Vietnam, a beautiful country with friendly, hospitable people and especially has the potential to attract tourists, including tourists from Slovakia.

Thanking National Assembly Chairman Richard Raci for taking the time to meet him, Ambassador Pham Truong Giang affirmed that Vietnam always considers Slovakia a reliable and important partner in the Central and Eastern Europe region in particular and in the European Union in general, expressing his belief that in the coming time, the relationship between the two sides will have new developments to elevate bilateral relations, especially in the fields of goods exchange, education and training, skilled labor export, cultural and artistic exchanges, etc.

The Ambassador hopes that in 2025, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the two sides will promote delegation exchanges, especially high-level visits to enhance political trust, deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Slovakia.

Mr. Richard Raci served as Deputy Prime Minister in charge of investment and information, Minister of Health, and Mayor of Kocise city.
