Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directs the organization of High School Graduation Exam

On May 13, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed the organization of the high school graduation exam and general education entrance exam in 2025.

Directive sent to Department of Education and Training; Department of Health; Department of Food Safety; City Inspectorate; Thu Duc City People's Committee, districts.

Directive to implement Official Dispatch 58 dated May 8, 2025 of the Prime Minister on organizing the high school graduation exam and general education entrance exam in 2025 and Official Dispatch 546 dated May 12, 2025 of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Health, the Department of Food Safety, the City Inspectorate, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and districts, based on their functions, tasks and authority, to proactively, focusedly, synchronously and effectively deploy work contents and solutions to well organize the High School Graduation Exam and primary school enrollment in 2025 according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch 58.

Units promptly report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on matters beyond their authority.

Telegram 58 clearly states that the 2025 High School Graduation Exam is more special than previous years: it is the first year to organize the High School Graduation Exam and enroll students at the beginning of general education according to the 2018 General Education Program with many innovations.

The entrance exam and admission are held in the context that the whole country is arranging and organizing the 2-level local government apparatus and changing the arrangement of the inspection agency system; the number of candidates is higher; the exam is organized for both students studying under the 2018 General Education Program and students studying under the 2006 General Education Program.

Meanwhile, the use of high-tech devices to cheat in exams is becoming increasingly sophisticated and complicated.

To organize the Exam and admission at the beginning of the school year safely, seriously, thoughtfully, smoothly, objectively, ensuring reliability and creating high consensus in society, the Prime Minister requested all levels, sectors and localities, according to their functions, tasks and authority, to focus on synchronously and effectively implementing tasks and solutions to organize the Exam and admission at the beginning of the school year.

Propose that the Provincial and Municipal Party Committee Secretaries and request the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to take full responsibility for the preparation and organization of the Examination and admission to primary schools in the area.
