On May 13th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh province provided information on some key activities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the troop relocation to the North of cadres, soldiers, people and students from the South in Quy Nhon (May 16, 1955 – May 16, 2025).

The site of the troop transport and assembly point for the North is located in Quy Nhon City.

Accordingly, on the afternoon and evening of May 16th, a series of key activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the completion of the troop relocation to the North will take place in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.

Specifically, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held on the afternoon of May 16th at the Quy Nhon Port historical site – the location of the 300-day troop mobilization to the North, marking the event when more than 20,000 cadres, soldiers, and people from the South set off for the North after the Geneva Agreement.

On the evening of the same day, a special art program themed "Leaving to keep the oath of reunification" will take place at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, featuring more than 250 artists, including People's Artist Thu Hien, singer Trong Tan, singer Lan Anh, and the Binh Dinh Traditional Arts Theatre.

The program included 11 artistic performances and documentary films recreating the historical journey from the victory at Dien Bien Phu to the farewell moment at Quy Nhon Port. Notable songs such as "Song of Unity," "A Song by the Banks of Hien Luong River," and "A Song Dedicated to Uncle Ho" ... were imbued with patriotism, a yearning for peace , and unity.

In addition, from May 14-17, an archival document exhibition with the theme "Memories of Youth Gathering in the North" will be held at the Provincial Conference Center, contributing to spreading historical values ​​to the public.

The event is an opportunity to pay tribute to previous generations, while also educating the younger generation about patriotic traditions, aiming to build a more prosperous and beautiful Binh Dinh in the era of integration.
