Binh Dinh organizes a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the transfer of troops to the North.

On May 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) of Binh Dinh province informed about a number of key activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the transfer of troops to the North by cadres, soldiers, people and students from the South in Quy Nhon (May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025).

Accordingly, on the afternoon and evening of May 16, in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, a series of key activities will take place to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the troop transfer to the North.

Specifically, the flower offering ceremony will be held on the afternoon of May 16 at Quy Nhon Port Relic Site - the location of 300 days of troop movement to the North, marking the event when more than 20,000 cadres, soldiers and compatriots from the South left for the North after the Geneva Agreement.

That same evening, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, a special art program will take place with the theme "Going out to keep the unification oath" , with the participation of more than 250 artists, including People's Artist Thu Hien, singer Trong Tan, singer Lan Anh and Binh Dinh Traditional Arts Theater.

The program includes 11 art performances and documentary films recreating the historical journey from the Dien Bien Phu victory to the moment of farewell at Quy Nhon Port. Outstanding songs such as "Song of Unification" , "Cau Ho Ben Bo Hien Luong" , "Loi Ca Deng Bac" ... are imbued with patriotism, the desire for peace and unification.

In addition, from May 14-17, at the Provincial Convention Center, an exhibition of archival documents with the theme "Memories of youth gathering in the North" will be held, contributing to spreading historical values ​​to the public.

The event is an opportunity to pay tribute to previous generations, while educating the younger generation on patriotism, aiming to build Binh Dinh into an increasingly prosperous and beautiful country in the integration period.
