Hang BingBoong recounts a phone call with JustaTee after 10 years that made her burst into tears.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Returning to music after a period of absence, singer Hang BingBoong was moved by the support and encouragement she received from friends and colleagues.

Hang BingBoong, born in 1989, participated in The Voice Vietnam 2012. She is a familiar name to audiences of the 80s and 90s generations with her hit song "Thu Cuoi" (sung with Yanbi and Mr.T), released in 2013.

Over the years, Hang BingBoong's singing career was interrupted because she moved to France. After an emotional setback, Hang BingBoong returned to Vietnam in early 2024 and is now a single mother.

On the evening of December 12th, singer Hang BingBoong released the music video for "Kèo thơm" and an EP (extended single) of the same name, marking her comeback after a long hiatus.

At the product launch event held that afternoon, she shared her feelings of happiness mixed with nervousness about returning to the music scene.

The singer acknowledges that the current market is undergoing many changes and facing intense competition, but she doesn't dwell on the pressure; instead, she wants to step out of her comfort zone and present a more energetic and fresh image to her audience.

Hang BingBoong said she felt lucky to have "recruited" a talented production team for her new single, from long-time close friends like JustaTee and Hoang Ton, to current collaborators such as musicians Dat G and 2pillz, rapper KayC, and Nhat Nguyen...

"I am grateful for the friends who have always been there for me, giving me advice and motivation to start over," the singer shared.

In particular, the female singer revealed a touching story with producer JustaTee: "In the past, my sister and I used to record and make music together. But then we didn't collaborate for about 10 years."

When I received the audio sample of "Kèo thơm ," I thought of JustaTee but hesitated because I thought he was very busy, and we hadn't spoken in a long time, so I didn't know if he would accept. However, when I called, JustaTee answered immediately and said, "Sister." That made me almost cry. I didn't expect my old friend to still have my number."

In Hang BingBoong's new project, musician and rapper Dat G is also accompanying her in many roles. Dat G's wife, model Cindy Lu, also frequently meets with, encourages, and shares with the singer of "Thu Cuoi" (Late Autumn).

Hang BingBoong added that with the 5 songs in the EP "Kèo thơm ," she not only demonstrates an effort to rejuvenate her music and image, but also incorporates messages about feminism. It portrays a strong, independent woman who is always full of faith in love.

After emotional turmoil, the singer faced the situation calmly, ready to move past the hurt and open her heart to embrace the positive energy of a new life and a new journey.
