On the morning of July 10, in Hanoi, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) chaired a national online conference to review the inspection, supervision and Party discipline enforcement work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

In the first 6 months of the year, Party committees and Inspection Commissions at all levels continued to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations on Party building and rectification and the political system; preventing and combating corruption and negativity; promptly developing and implementing programs and work plans for 2024. Actively and proactively leading, directing, and organizing the comprehensive implementation of inspection tasks according to the provisions of the Party Charter, controlling and declaring assets, incomes, and tasks assigned by the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. In accordance with Article 30 of the Party Charter, Party committees at all levels inspected 18,476 Party organizations and 107,165 Party members. In addition, Party committees at all levels inspected 131 Party organizations and 922 Party members when there were signs of violations; Inspection committees at all levels inspected 804 party organizations and 2,850 party members when there were signs of violations. The implementation of basic discipline was strictly ensured, in accordance with procedures, regulations, democracy and objectivity. Party committees at all levels and party cells disciplined 165 party organizations and 7,858 party members; Inspection committees at all levels disciplined 143 party organizations and 3,147 party members. Party committees and inspection committees at all levels paid attention to and promptly improved the organizational apparatus and staff; rotated inspection staff according to Regulation No. 110-QD/TW, dated July 6, 2023 of the Secretariat; and focused on training and fostering of cadres. Propaganda work was promoted, with many practical innovations, creating consensus, support and trust of cadres, party members and people in the work of inspection and discipline enforcement of the Party.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party's inspection sector in the past time. Regarding the key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024, he requested the entire sector to continue advising the Politburo, the Secretariat, and Party committees at all levels to effectively implement the 2024 inspection program; build and perfect the institution on inspection work to ensure scientific, strict, synchronous, and suitable to practical conditions. Coordinate and advise on the good implementation of tasks assigned by sub-committees and working groups serving the Party Congresses at all levels, especially the work of personnel appraisal. Step up the comprehensive implementation of tasks according to the Party Charter, focusing on inspecting and supervising cadres and party members who show signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", violations of Party regulations, State laws, violations of things party members are not allowed to do and exemplary responsibilities, especially in areas, localities, and positions where corruption and negativity are likely to occur, places with prominent issues, causing public concern. Focus on inspecting and supervising the research, dissemination and implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Pay attention to thoroughly resolving complaints and denunciations, especially complaints and denunciations related to personnel of congresses at all levels in the next term. When signs of violations are detected, they must be promptly inspected, concluded and strictly handled. Seriously and promptly implement the conclusions of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, focusing on promptly inspecting and handling party organizations and party members who have violated cases and cases under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee and provincial levels. Pay attention to the work of building the sector, proactively perfecting the organization of the Inspection Commission towards streamlining, operating effectively and efficiently, and arranging enough staff in places where there is a shortage. Build a team of inspection officers at all levels with strong political will, pure moral qualities, high sense of responsibility, good professional skills, and being truly impartial, objective, and upright to successfully complete assigned tasks. Promote the rotation of inspection officers to work in sectors and at all levels; rotate leaders and managers in sectors and at all levels to do inspection and supervision work for the Party; prepare well the personnel of the Inspection Commission for the next term.
