Final round of the 2nd "Phoenix Singing Contest", school year 2024 - 2025

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - To celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025), on the afternoon of May 11, at the City Youth Sports and Culture Palace, Hai Phong City Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the Final Round and award the 2nd "Phuong Hong Singing Contest", school year 2024 - 2025.

The contest aims to arouse the passion for music among the city's youth, contributing to spreading a rich cultural and spiritual life in schools as well as discovering and nurturing young talents who love to sing. After more than 2 months of extensive implementation at the facilities, the preliminary round at the city level attracted 123 candidates from high schools, vocational education centers, and continuing education centers in the city to participate, nearly double compared to the first competition season in 2024, many units have a large number of candidates and outstanding quality, showing the spread and positive effects of the contest on the city's students.

The City Youth Union leaders awarded excellent prizes to candidates.

The jury, consisting of prestigious singers, artists and musicians from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, selected the 30 best contestants from 25 schools to participate in the Final Round. The contestants brought carefully prepared and methodical performances. Many contestants demonstrated solid vocal skills, confident performance styles, and diverse genres, leaving many emotions and deep impressions on the audience.

At the end of the contest, contestant Le Tran My Anh, Le Hong Phong High School (Hong Bang District) won the excellent prize of the contest. The jury also awarded 4 first prizes, 11 second prizes and 15 third prizes; along with the Most Favorite Contestant and Most Enthusiastic Supporter consolation prizes to the contestants.
