VN-Index closed at 1,223 points on April 24.
Opening the trading session on April 24, VN-Index continued its strong increase, surpassing the 1,220 point mark. Some stocks recorded impressive increases of 4-7%, notably VHC (Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Company), SIP (Saigon VRG Investment Joint Stock Company)... However, immediately after that, the general index quickly slowed down and fell below the reference level due to dominant selling pressure.
Near the end of the morning session, VIC shares (Vingroup Corporation) increased by more than 4%, along with a slight improvement in VCB shares (Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade) and FPT shares (FPT Joint Stock Company)..., helping VN-Index regain green.
In the afternoon session, the market reversed strongly thanks to the strong increase in price of Vingroup stocks (VIC increased by 7%, VRE increased by 3.8%, VHM increased by 4.6%). In addition, real estate, retail and securities sectors also recorded positive demand.
At the end of the session, the VN-Index closed at 1,223 points, up 12 points, equivalent to 1.02% compared to the previous session. Total market liquidity reached more than 17,600 billion VND, slightly down compared to the previous trading session.
Dragon Capital Securities Company (VDSC) commented that the decrease in liquidity shows that supply pressure is cooling down. Cash flow remains stable, creating momentum to support the market in the short term. VDSC recommends that investors continue to monitor groups of stocks with strong cash flow and growth potential.
Vietcombank Securities Company (VCBS) believes that the market is clearly differentiated, not only between industry groups but also between stocks in the same group. This reflects investors' different assessments of the business results of the first quarter of 2025 and the long-term prospects of each enterprise.
VCBS recommends investors reduce the proportion of stocks under correction pressure at high prices, and restructure their portfolios to stocks that have attracted strong cash flows in recent sessions. Some groups of stocks worth paying attention to are securities, real estate, retail, public investment, etc.
