Join hands to support Bac Kan people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters

Upon learning of the terrible flash flood that occurred in the early morning of May 18, causing heavy damage to people and property in Ba Be district, Bac Kan province, the Volunteer Group of the Central Agency Officials Association and Bac Thai Businessmen, the Phan Businessmen Club in the North and friends, and the 1973 Connection Journey Group in coordination with local authorities have just arrived at Tan Luot village, Dong Phuc commune, Ba Be district - the place that suffered the most damage this time, to encourage and give gifts to support the people.

Local authorities said that nearly 400 hectares of rice and crops were buried and broken, many areas were ready for harvest; more than 16 hectares of aquaculture were affected, many ponds were devastated after the flood; inter-village and inter-commune roads were cut off, making travel, transportation of goods and relief difficult. The total estimated damage was about 97 billion VND.

The delegation came to express condolences, encourage and present 5 million VND/family to 4 families whose relatives died in the flash flood; presented 55 gifts (500,000 VND each) to households with property damage (6 families with more severe damage, 1 million VND each).

In addition, the 1973 Connection Journey Group also awarded a number of gifts worth 2 million VND each to affected households.

These gifts are taken from the monthly salaries, incomes and savings of the members of the Union. This is an activity that demonstrates a profound humanitarian spirit, contributing to helping people alleviate immediate difficulties and quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
