The appeal letter stated that recently, in the whole country in general and Da Nang in particular, the situation of crime and law violations in cyberspace has tended to increase with the appearance of many sophisticated methods and tricks, causing great damage to people's property, causing public outrage.

Criminals continue to use old tricks and constantly use new ways to defraud and appropriate people's property such as: impersonating authorities to threaten, requesting bail money, suggesting "fixing cases", impersonating state employees to guide, collect taxes, fines, collect electricity, water, insurance bills, etc.; posting news, booking tickets, booking hotel rooms, consumer goods requiring deposit transfers; organizing summer camps, competitions, etc. for parents to register and transfer participation fees, but then not organizing as promised; impersonating organizations in promotional programs, receiving commissions, etc.

In addition, illegal activities such as online gambling, illegal credit, drug trafficking, personal data trading... on cyberspace are also increasingly popular.
