A representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that “Colors of Uncle Ho’s City” is not only a series of activities to celebrate the country’s important holiday, but also an opportunity to introduce the image of a dynamic, creative and culturally rich city to domestic and international friends.
Parade, grand parade on Le Duan street
The rehearsals, preliminary and final rehearsals for the state-level parade will take place from April 18 to 27 on Le Duan Street, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. (April 18, 22, 25) and from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 27 (final rehearsal).
In particular, the official celebration took place on the morning of April 30, from 6:00 to 10:00, with the participation of Party and State leaders, a large number of armed forces and people from all walks of life.
Drone and fireworks show in the sky
The rehearsal for the 10,500 drone demonstration will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on April 29 at Bach Dang Wharf, District 1. The official demonstration will take place at the same time, 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., on the evening of May 1.
This is one of the events that people look forward to in the series of activities "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" taking place from April 19 to the end of May in response to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

In addition, on the evening of April 30, Ho Chi Minh City will fire fireworks at 30 locations from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Two high-altitude fireworks locations include: the area at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) and the Ben Duoc martyrs memorial temple (in Cu Chi district).
3D mapping combines multinational art
On the evenings of April 19, 26, 29 and 30, the 3D mapping light art program with the theme “50-year journey - Heritage and Future” will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the front of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The program has the participation of creative groups from France, Singapore, Belgium and Vietnam, combining sound, light and vivid images on the iconic architecture of the City.

Street art and cavalry parade
On the evening of April 30, Nguyen Hue Street will become a vibrant stage with two special activities: a cavalry parade by the Mobile Police Force (7:00 p.m. - 7:25 p.m.) and a community-interactive “Turban Dance” performance (starting at 7:00 p.m.).

Hanoi Department of Tourism said that in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the Great Anniversary, Hanoi will organize many exhibitions and thematic displays to serve the people and tourists.
Lively activities
At the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu, Hoan Kiem), there will be an exhibition of bamboo and rattan weaving with the theme "Made of Tre"; an exhibition of art installations about Hang Bac craft street by artist The Son at Kim Ngan communal house; an exhibition introducing Chuyen My mother-of-pearl inlay craft and organizing experiential workshops; a photo exhibition with the theme "Memories and Legends".
The Center for Culture and Arts (22 Hang Buom) will organize an exhibition of propaganda paintings.

At the Old Quarter Heritage Information Center (28 Hang Buom), there will be an exhibition introducing and exchanging culture and tourism between Hanoi and Phu Yen.
The Ho Guom Cultural Information Center will organize the exhibition “Discovering the history of Ho Guom”. At Villa No. 46 Hang Bai, the exhibition space “Discovering Heritage” will officially open to welcome visitors.
On this occasion, the National Museum of History organizes a special exhibition "The Country and Rivers Connected in One Strip" (from April 22 to August 2025).
The Thang Long Imperial Citadel will host an exhibition themed “The Road to Reunification” and free water puppet shows for visitors from April 29.
At Bao Son Paradise Park, the Cowboy Town Festival 2025 will also officially take place, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere for the holiday season.
Ensuring safety for visitors
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, to ensure that tourists have fun during the holidays, public areas, flower gardens, and parks in the city have been renovated, upgraded, and environmental protection has been enhanced to best serve the people's needs for entertainment, recreation, and relaxation.
Specifically, the area around the City Opera House has just inaugurated the renovation project of Co Tan flower garden with the highlight being the artwork "Revival". The work is inspired by the transformation of the life of a 60-year-old rosewood tree that was knocked down by Typhoon Yagi in 2024. This is expected to become an interesting check-in spot for tourists and residents of the capital during this year's holiday.
Hanoi Department of Tourism continues to coordinate with the Mausoleum Management Board to organize the distribution of free drinking water, milk and bread to serve people and tourists visiting Uncle Ho on April 30 and May 1.
