The "Tet of Love" program for the Year of the Dragon 2024

On January 20th, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, collaborated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize the "Tet of Love" program for the Year of the Dragon 2024. Representatives from the Provincial Women's Union also accompanied the delegation.

During the program, the delegation presented 50 gifts to families receiving preferential treatment; poor women, elderly women; orphaned children, and children in difficult circumstances in Thuan Nam district. Each gift, worth 1.3 million VND, included 1 million VND in cash and other items. Four gifts were also presented to grassroots women's association officials. A visit was also made to extend New Year greetings and gifts to the Phuoc Diem Border Guard Station (Thuan Nam).

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Hien affirmed: The "Tet of Love" program for the Year of the Dragon - 2024, organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, aims to express gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution and those receiving preferential treatment; at the same time, it creates a joyful atmosphere, strengthens solidarity, and encourages members, women, cadres, and soldiers... on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. These gifts demonstrate the heartfelt sentiments of women's associations at all levels towards orphaned children, members, and women in difficult circumstances, thereby helping them overcome difficulties and providing them with better conditions to prepare for a more joyful and warm Lunar New Year celebration in 2024.

As part of the "Tet of Love" program, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union visited and extended New Year greetings to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Hu, residing in Lac Son 1 village, Ca Na commune, and Ms. Dinh Thi Lien, a relative of a fallen soldier, residing in Quan The 1 village, Phuoc Minh commune (Thuan Nam district). On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien cordially inquired about the health and well-being of the mothers; wishing them good health, happiness, and continued success alongside their children and grandchildren, and hoping they will remain shining examples of morality and revolutionary traditions for the younger generation to emulate.
