Program "Reading Culture - Connecting the Community"

Within the framework of the program, readers listened to and discussed with speaker Nguyen Son Lam in the talk show "Reading books - Enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity"; learning how to read books effectively and apply the knowledge learned from books in the 4.0 era as well as books that help motivate and inspire to overcome difficulties in life.

On this occasion, Quang Ninh Provincial Library and Hong Ha Ward Police presented 40 library cards and 40 life jackets to students from 4 schools in Ha Long City. Hong Ha Ward Police also presented a number of books to the Provincial Library with practical significance, contributing to enriching the Provincial Library's collection of documents and better meeting the information needs of a large number of readers, joining hands to promote the development of reading culture.

Speaker Nguyen Son Lam shared the secret that helped him overcome his fate in life is his love of life and valuable lessons learned from books.

The program “Reading Culture – Connecting the Community” is a practical activity to implement the Plan to organize the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 of Quang Ninh Library. Within the framework of Book and Reading Culture Day, there are also activities such as: Quang Ninh Book Week for Promoting Learning 2025 (From April 19 to May 5); Book exhibition, introduction, and artistic book arrangement (from April 10 to April 25).

The organizing committee presented library cards and life jackets to representatives of 4 schools in Ha Long City.

Book and Reading Culture Day is held annually with a series of meaningful activities to affirm the role and importance of books and reading culture in the community; contribute to improving spiritual and cultural life, promoting ethical values and the nation's tradition of studiousness, towards building a learning society.

Organizing Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day contributes to building and developing the reading movement, connecting organizations and individuals in the province to participate in activities to develop reading culture, continuing to effectively implement Plan No. 147/KH-UBND dated August 10, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Project to develop reading culture in the community for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030 in Quang Ninh province.
