Expert: Vietnam needs to promote international educational integration

Resolution 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo on International Integration in the New Situation is considered a breakthrough policy, opening up opportunities for sustainable development for Vietnam.

Professor Vu Minh Khuong highly appreciated the international integration strategy that Vietnam's reform has brought about. He emphasized that Vietnam is one of the leading countries in deep integration with the world and that Vietnam's integration strategy is also very solid, courageous and has really brought great benefits to the development of the country and its people. In the coming time, international integration will still be high and very fast because the unification of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the economy is also much higher. Therefore, understanding integration is very important.

Professor Vu Minh Khuong believes that current integration is to attract international human resources and Vietnam has the potential to become the center of international education . With the experience and strength of more than 100 million people, Vietnam must set a goal of attracting 400,000 - 500,000 international students to study. The professor emphasized that bringing Vietnamese schools to the forefront, at least reaching the level of the Southeast Asian region, Vietnam's integration will be more modern. The professor commented that Vietnam is currently focusing on goods and exports, attracting investment, while if it relies more on education - services in elite professions, digital technology, AI, Vietnam can go very far in the integration issue.

Assessing the risks that Vietnam needs to pay attention to in the integration process, Professor Vu Minh Khuong said that the biggest risks that have emerged are cyber security, supply chain disruptions and energy security. Vietnam needs to be aware of these risks and find the best solutions, not only to protect the country and the economy but also to become a model solution for the world, thereby continuing to enhance Vietnam's reputation. With that "mission", Professor Vu Minh Khuong emphasized the need to focus on investment right now.
