'Zero-dong bus' takes coal industry workers home for Lunar New Year

At dawn on February 5 (December 26), many families came to the Vietnam - Japan Labor Culture Palace, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh to wait for the bus to go home for Tet. These people are workers and their relatives working at the Hon Gai Coal Company - TKV.

37 buses will take 1,635 coal industry workers home for Tet

The buses were free and took the workers back to their hometowns. Everyone was carrying gifts they had bought at the mine.

Having taken the "zero-dong bus" for many years, Mr. Dam Manh Quang (born in 1988, working at the Transport Electromechanical Workshop, Hon Gai Coal Company - TKV) said that these buses are very convenient for him and his family because it is very difficult to buy bus tickets near Tet .

For many years, worker Dam Manh Quang's family has returned to their hometown in Ha Nam to celebrate Tet on the "zero-dong bus"

"If I buy a bus ticket outside, I have to book it a long time in advance, the ticket price is high, these free buses are convenient, reduce costs and take my whole family home," said Mr. Quang.

Many workers' families are happy to escape the crowded scene at bus stations.

It is known that this morning, there were 37 buses taking 1,635 workers and their relatives home for Tet. Of which, the majority of workers went to Thai Binh, the farthest trip was to Nghe An and Ha Giang .
