On the evening of July 28, Quang Nam Club sent a reply to VPF Company, regarding continuing to participate in Vietnam's professional football tournaments in the 2025-2026 season, instead of dissolving and merging with Da Nang Club.
The document reads: “Up to now, with the attention of relevant levels, Quang Nam Football Club has negotiated and reached an agreement with a number of investors with sufficient financial resources and enthusiasm to continue operating, helping the team not only maintain sustainability but also develop in the following seasons.

Currently, due to the steps of document preparation for the parties to officially sign, the Company will submit a feasible plan for your agency to consider and decide before 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
This announcement means that Quang Nam Club will not leave V-League, will not dissolve or merge, but will continue to participate in Vietnam's professional football tournaments in the 2025-2026 season. It is known that a benefactor has agreed to spend about 100 billion VND to help Quang Nam Club with operating costs in the coming time.
Thus, the 2025-2026 V-League will still have 14 teams and take place as planned. Previously, the VFF Executive Committee agreed on the plan to arrange, adjust, supplement, and replace teams participating in the national professional football tournaments in the 2025-2026 season.
VFF has set out criteria for selecting a replacement team for Quang Nam Club if this team withdraws from the tournament. The criteria are based on the results of the 2024-2025 national first division tournament; Only 1 replacement team will be selected, which is the team with the highest ranking after the teams that have won a place in the 2025-2026 V-League and are eligible for a license in the following order: Binh Phuoc Club (runner-up of the 2024-2025 national first division tournament); PVF-CAND Club (ranked 3rd in the 2024-2025 national first division tournament).
In case Binh Phuoc Club refuses to be promoted, VFF will consider PVF-CAND Club as a replacement. In case both clubs refuse to be promoted, VFF will keep the 2025-2026 V-League with 13 participating teams.
