Hanoi teacher assaulted by parents who stormed into classroom

Speaking with VietNamNet on the afternoon of May 12, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Dinh District said that the Investigation Police Agency of Ba Dinh District Police is investigating and handling the case of Ms. L., a grade 1 teacher at Ngoc Khanh Primary School (Ba Dinh), being assaulted by a parent.

A Ba Dinh District Police officer also confirmed this information and said the incident took place around May 5.

Mr. T., PA's parent, entered the classroom and assaulted Ms. L., the homeroom teacher. Immediately after receiving the information, the ward police arrived to control and escort Mr. T. to the headquarters.

Teacher L. later had to go for an injury check, but the extent of the damage was not too serious.

This person said that when working with related people, Mr. T. showed signs of using alcohol and was not sober. Mr. T. had a previous criminal record.

"When he regained consciousness, Mr. T. also realized that his behavior was not up to standard and expressed remorse," he said. The case is being handled by Ba Dinh District Police.
