The festival attracts the participation of more than 50 producers with more than 150 of Italy's most famous wines, along with a series of events dedicated to Italian wine in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year’s event will feature a very special Italian wine called Prosecco. Prosecco is a popular wine in Italy and is often drunk as an aperitif outside of Italy. Like other sparkling wines, Prosecco is best served chilled within three to five years of vintage.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City Enrico Padula expressed his joy at realizing that Vietnamese people always love unique Italian culinary products, including wine.

“The festival will further enhance the knowledge of Italian wine among discerning consumers. Only those with a better knowledge of wine can fully appreciate the superior quality of Italian wine.

Not only introducing Italy's top wine products, we also want to introduce to the people of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the people of Vietnam in general the unique culinary and cultural features of Italy, thereby connecting the two cultures together," said Enrico Padula.

The festival also features many interesting activities such as experiencing Italy's top wines, master classes on Italian wines... led by senior editors of the Italian Wine Magazine, wine experts Lorenzo Ruggeri and Giuseppe Carrus; the award ceremony of the top Italian restaurants (The Top Italian Restaurants), high-quality pizza shops in Ho Chi Minh City according to the ranking of the Top Italian Restaurants Digital Magazine.

The 2023 Italian Wine Festival is organized by the largest association of Italian food and wine producers Gambero Rosso, the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam, the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Italian Trade Office.

First held in Hanoi in 2017, after a 5-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Festival marks its return to Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 and continues in 2023 at Rex Hotel Saigon, 141 Nguyen Hue, Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to introducing culture, cuisine, and conveying messages about the Italian lifestyle in Vietnam, the 2023 Italian Wine Festival is also an opportunity for Italian wine businesses to introduce products, seek cooperation opportunities, connect trade, and expand the market in Vietnam.
