The second Nung ethnic folk culture festival will be held in Xin Man district, Ha Giang province next September with many special activities.
The 2024 Nung ethnic folk culture festival is held to preserve and honor the traditional cultural values of the nation, promote and introduce the beauty of traditional culture and customs of the people, demonstrating the spirit of national solidarity.

According to the plan of Xin Man District People's Committee, the opening ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on September 21 at Xin Man District Stadium with a unique art program recreating the daily life, cultural space and forest worship ceremony of the Nung ethnic group, performing folk art performances of the Nung ethnic group, and displaying costumes of ethnic groups living in the area.
Within the framework of the festival, there is also a space for handicraft demonstrations; a space for displaying traditional cultural products; a space for displaying agricultural products, OCOP; a space for displaying cuisine; competitions in polishing black cloth, folding Nung ethnic skirts, weaving competitions, folk art competitions (folk songs, folk dances, traditional musical instruments), competitions in traditional sports such as stilt walking; throwing shuttlecocks, crossbow shooting and tug of war.
In addition, from September 20-23, in Coc Pai town and Nam Dan commune, there will be activities for tourists such as water carrying competitions to the grasslands, overnight camping, campfires, check-in and photo taking, cultural exchange and folk games with local people, local food fair, demonstration of traditional local doll making stages.
The second Nung ethnic folk culture festival is expected to enrich the activities in the spiritual and cultural life of the ethnic people in the district, creating a good impression and attraction to attract tourists to Xin Man district.
