Tan Dai Hung Plastics (TPC) stock remains under warning despite returning to profit

Tan Dai Hung Plastic Joint Stock Company, formerly known as Tan Dai Hung Plastic Company, was established in 1984. In 2004, the company changed to a joint stock company with the main business activities being the production and export of high-end clothing according to the available market.

Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) has just announced that TPC shares of Tan Dai Hung Plastic continue to be kept under warning status according to Decision No. 127/QD-SGDHCM dated March 22, 2024.

The reason for the above situation is that Tan Dai Hung Plastic's undistributed profit after tax on the audited consolidated financial statements for the first half of 2024 is negative VND 8,164 billion.

Regarding business activities, in the second quarter of 2024, Tan Dai Hung Plastics recorded net revenue of VND 203.5 billion, down 27% year-on-year. Profit after tax reached VND 7 billion, an improvement compared to the loss of VND 50 billion in the same period last year.

Explaining the above business results, Tan Dai Hung Plastics said that the company's production and business activities are stable, the structure of products has good profit margins. In addition, interest expenses have decreased, and the scale of debts has also decreased compared to the previous year.

However, Tan Dai Hung Plastic's business results for the first 6 months of the year still recorded a loss after tax of VND 8.2 billion due to a loss in the first quarter of the year.
