The Conference was chaired by comrades: Huynh Kien - Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Newspaper; Deputy Editors-in-Chief: Dang Huy Cuong; Luong Van Danh; Doan Minh Duong.
Accordingly, the Conference announced Decision No. 1630-QD/TU of the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee on the merger of Gia Lai Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station and Decision No. 1631-QD/TU of the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Gia Lai Newspaper.
Specifically, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to merge Gia Lai Newspaper and Gia Lai Provincial Radio and Television Station into Gia Lai Newspaper from May 14, 2025. Gia Lai Newspaper is a public service unit under the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee.
The conference also announced the Decision of the Gia Lai Newspaper Editorial Board on the establishment of specialized departments and staff arrangement at Gia Lai Newspaper.
Accordingly, after the merger, Gia Lai Newspaper has 10 departments, including: Organization-Administration; Finance-Advertising; News; Special topics; Programs; Ethnic Language Translation and Photojournalism; Culture and Entertainment; Electronics and Digital Content Development; Engineering, Transmission and Technology; Editorial Secretary.
The Gia Lai Newspaper's staff after the merger is 167 people (including 14 officials, civil servants and employees who wish to retire according to Resolution 178 of the Government).
Also at the conference, the leaders of the Organization and Administration Department of Gia Lai Newspaper announced the Decisions of the Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Newspaper on the appointment of the Head of Department; Deputy Head of Department in charge and Deputy Head of Department of Gia Lai Newspaper.
Accordingly, the Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Newspaper decided to appoint the following: Doan Thi Bich Nga to the position of Head of Organization-Administration Department; Mai Quoc Phong to the position of Head of Finance-Advertising Department; Pham Ngoc Thien Nga to the position of Head of Program Department; Le Van Nhung to the position of Head of News Department; Nay H'Ne to the position of Head of Ethnic Language Translation and Photojournalism Department; Nguyen Van Thanh to the position of Head of Technical, Transmission and Technology Department; Tran Duc Phuong to the position of Head of Electronics and Digital Content Development Department.
At the same time, the Editorial Board of Gia Lai Newspaper also decided to appoint 3 Deputy Heads of Department in charge, including Mr. Le Tien Dung - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Secretary-Editor; Van The Dung - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Department of Culture and Entertainment; Cao Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Special Topics Department. Along with that, the Editorial Board of Gia Lai Newspaper appointed 11 Deputy Heads of Department.
In his speech assigning tasks, Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Newspaper Huynh Kien emphasized: Implementing the policy of the Central and the province, Gia Lai Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station merged into Gia Lai Newspaper to suit the revolutionary tasks in the new period. Therefore, the collective of Gia Lai Newspaper is requested to continue to unite and make efforts to build Gia Lai Newspaper to develop more strongly in the new period. Thereby, it is worthy of being the mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province.
