Announcement of the Prime Minister's Decision to convert Duy Tan University into Duy Tan University

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son presented the Prime Minister's Decision and presented flowers to congratulate Duy Tan University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister ofEducation and Training Nguyen Kim Son acknowledged and congratulated Duy Tan University for its remarkable achievements over the past 30 years. The Minister emphasized that the establishment and development of Duy Tan University not only changed the public-private structure in the university system, but also contributed significantly to the innovation and development of Vietnam's higher education. The university has brought many learning opportunities to students, provided quality human resources for the country and become a bright spot in the educational innovation process.

The change from Duy Tan University to Duy Tan University is not only a change in name, but also an important turning point in the development of the organizational and administrative model, affirming the maturity and strong development needs of the school. The Minister hopes that, with the new model, Duy Tan University will become a more advanced, intelligent and sustainable center of higher education, while actively contributing to the development of the education sector and the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh congratulated and praised the breakthrough and creative achievements that Duy Tan University has achieved over the past 30 years.

At this time, Da Nang city is focusing on implementing Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city. Chairman Le Trung Chinh affirmed that the development of high-quality human resources, especially in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and innovation, is one of the key factors to turn Da Nang into an ecological, modern and smart city in the coming time.

With the 2024 action theme of "Promoting administrative reform, strengthening discipline, continuing to unlock investment resources, promoting economic growth and ensuring social security" associated with a number of important socio-economic indicators, the city has been making efforts to unlock resources for the city's development with the goal of rapid and sustainable development, prioritizing industries and professions in information technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, science and technology management, innovation, etc.

During 30 years of construction and development, Duy Tan University has achieved many outstanding achievements in education and scientific research. The school has always maintained its position in the Top 500 Best Universities in the World in 2025 according to QS Rankings and Top 600+ in 2025 according to The Rankings and ranked 127th in Asia in 2025 (number 1 among 17 ranked Vietnamese educational institutions).

In addition, the school always accompanies and encourages students to overcome all difficulties to excel in their studies with scholarships of humanitarian value such as supporting children of Gac Ma veterans, students orphaned by storm Chanchu, or supporting soldiers of Brigade 146 on duty in the Truong Sa sea area.
