Announcing a natural disaster emergency situation regarding the current landslide situation of Vu Gia river embankment and Quang Hue river embankment

The Chairman of the City People's Committee has just signed Decision No. 1777/QD-UBND declaring a natural disaster emergency regarding the current landslide situation of Vu Gia River embankment and Quang Hue River embankment (Vu Gia commune).

Specifically, in Khuong My village: The Quang Hue river adjustment project was damaged and degraded by floods, especially at the embankment section along the DX3 route through My Phiem village. About 400m of the embankment collapsed and collapsed, of which 100m was severely damaged, affecting the DX3 route - the only route for the 128 households in My Phiem village to travel.

In Quang Dai village, the embankment of Quang Hue river has been severely eroded, especially the section passing through Quang Dai village, about 150m long, eroded and subsided in a frog-jaw-shaped system that has eaten deep into the foot of the embankment of the residential road and the bridge abutment. This directly affects the safety of 35 households in Quang Xuyen group and threatens to affect about 6 hectares of agricultural land.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested to immediately deploy temporary measures to prevent further complicated landslides, protect people's lives and property and essential infrastructure works. At the same time, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee - Head of the Civil Defense Command of Vu Gia Commune was assigned to continue to deploy urgent measures that need to be applied immediately to respond and overcome the consequences in order to prevent and minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
