Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union: Presenting "Union Shelter" house to union members in difficult circumstances in Go Dau

Responding to the 17th Workers' Month with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era", on May 30, the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union coordinated with the District 1 Labor Federation (Ho Chi Minh City), the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Commune (Go Dau District) to organize the handover of "Union Shelter" houses to union members in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Trinh Van Phuoc - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and trade union units presented the decision to donate the "Union Shelter" house to union member Nguyen Thi Ngan.

Attending the event were Mr. Trinh Van Phuoc - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Chairman of the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union and sponsoring units.

“Union Shelter” was awarded to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngan (born in 2000, residing in Xom Bo Hamlet, Hiep Thanh Commune), a member of the Union of Gain Lucky Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, Go Dau District), who is facing difficulties in housing. After consideration, the Economic Zone Union mobilized units to support funding for house construction.

It is known that Ms. Ngan lives with her younger brother born in 2005 and her grandmother (who passed away in 2023). Before being built, the house where Ms. Ngan's family lived was severely degraded, the walls were cracked, leaking in many places, the corrugated iron roof was low, making daily life very difficult.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Chairwoman of Tay Ninh Economic Zone Trade Union presented a letter of thanks to the District 1 Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City for sponsoring the construction of "Trade Union Shelter".

The house has an area of ^{​​94.38m2} , built on family land, brick walls, cement floor, corrugated iron roof... worth 101 million VND, of which District 1 Labor Federation (Ho Chi Minh City) supported 60 million VND, Vietinbank - Trang Bang Industrial Park Branch supported 20 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by family and relatives.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Trinh Van Phuoc - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation congratulated union member Nguyen Thi Ngan and her family on receiving a new house from the "Union Shelter" program; at the same time, expressed his gratitude for the support of the District 1 Labor Federation and sponsors for bringing warmth and affection to the union members' families.

Leaders of the Labor Federation, the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union, local authorities and sponsors took souvenir photos at the "Union Shelter" that was just handed over to union members.

On this occasion, the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union, Gain Lucky Vietnam Co., Ltd., the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Commune, and sponsors presented many gifts such as: gas stove, electric fan, electric rice cooker, iron, kettle, cups, plates... to congratulate the family on having a stable place to live, working with peace of mind, and trying to improve their lives.
