In weather conditions of 35 degrees Celsius, the construction unit is responsible for organizing traffic; installing signs and warning devices; dividing lanes and traffic flows in the construction area. The repair sections include: Km 123+00 - Km 244+155; Km 93+000 - Km 106+206; Km 123+066 - Km 136+470; Km 142+000 - Km 160+400; Km 171+000 - Km 190+450; Km 191+200 - Km 217+000; Km 229+100 - Km 243+100; Km 0+00 - Km 123+080; Section Km 123+080 -Km 244+150.

Under the scorching sun, the road repair workers are still working hard. Sweat drenches their backs, their faces are sunburned, no fans, no air conditioning, they only have the resilience and responsibility to keep the roads safe and clear. The sound of cutting machines and hammers echoes in the sweltering weather.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Doi, a worker at Vien Phat Transport Construction & Trading Joint Stock Company who is constructing Km171 of Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, said: There are many days when the outside temperature is around 35-36 degrees Celsius, combined with the heat from the asphalt from 120-165 degrees Celsius, causing workers to sweat profusely. We have to add lemon juice with salt to reduce the amount of water lost. A normal person can drink 1-1.5 liters of water per day, but in one morning we have to drink over 2 liters of water.

Although it was hard, the brothers tried their best to ensure the safety of vehicles traveling on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway during April 30 and May 1.

Even though the temperature outside sometimes reaches over 40 degrees Celsius, they still have to wear tight protective suits and stand on the road as hot as a frying pan. Every step bears the mark of hardship. But above all is the pride when each completed section of the road is another proof of their sweat and effort. The heat cannot subdue these resilient people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong, Deputy Director of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway Operation Center said: "To minimize the risk of accidents, traffic jams and protect the environment, the construction unit will develop measures to ensure traffic safety. At night, the machinery will not work, but will be neatly gathered on one side of the road. According to the plan, the repair will be completed next June. During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, traffic volume will increase, construction units must strengthen traffic safety and handle congestion."
