On October 19th, the Hanoi Police Traffic Department announced that authorities had taken action against a truck driver for entering a restricted area on the Thai Ha overpass.
Upon inspection, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 identified the offending truck as a vehicle with a Hanoi license plate, bearing the words "Vietnam Post ". The driver was Mr. N.D.D. (born in 1979, from Chuong My, Hanoi). During questioning by the police, Mr. D. admitted to the violation.
The truck driver drove onto the Thai Ha overpass and got stuck.
Road traffic police team number 3 issued an administrative violation report against Mr. NDD for driving into a road with a prohibited sign.
For this offense, the male driver was fined 2-3 million VND and had his driver's license revoked for 1-3 months. In addition, the offender is responsible for compensating for any damage caused by the violation.
Previously, social media posted a video of a truck driving onto the Thai Ha - Chua Boc overpass during rush hour. The truck then veered into the opposite lane, getting stuck on the height limit barrier and causing a traffic jam.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Hong Giang, Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, said that citizens proactively detecting and recording traffic violations contributes to raising public awareness of law compliance.
This also addresses the issue of traffic participants violating the law.
