The discussion session of the National Assembly deputies attracted the attention, monitoring and high appreciation of many voters of the two provinces of Lam Dong and Can Tho. Many voters expressed their agreement with the results of implementing the socio -economic targets in 2025 as well as the group of solutions proposed by the Government for 2026, with specific and feasible goals. Voters assessed that the completion of the merger of localities and the operation of the two-level local government model in the past time has created an important "leverage" for socio-economic development, effectively exploiting the potentials and specific strengths of each region, from mountainous, border to island areas.
Development advice in the new period

Appreciating the opinions and solutions put forward by National Assembly delegates during the discussion session, Mr. Ho Cong Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Langbiang Ward, Lam Dong Province, commented that the economic targets for 2026 are completely feasible in the context of localities having strong development opportunities and potential after the recent merger. According to Mr. Dinh, Lam Dong, with the advantage of converging both "blue sea and great forest", is facing a historic opportunity to make an economic breakthrough in the new period. To realize the goals, voters proposed focusing on developing the agricultural economy, replicating effective and typical production models; focusing on investing in science and technology, developing high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, green agriculture, etc. These solutions not only help increase people's income, but also create a solid foundation for effective agricultural economic development from the grassroots to the national scale.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province, also proposed that agricultural economy is a strength not only of Lam Dong but also of many localities in the country. Therefore, investing in people to develop agriculture in all aspects such as modern science and technology, deep processing technology of key products such as durian, macadamia, coffee, seafood to expand export markets will contribute to the economic acceleration in the new period. In particular, after the government apparatus gradually stabilizes, support policies, development plans, and market expansion for farmers will be increasingly concerned, creating momentum for increasingly sustainable economic development.
Investment in health care commensurate with new status
Following the discussion session on socio-economics of the 15th National Assembly on the afternoon of October 29, Specialist Doctor I Thach Thi Thuy Loan (Khmer ethnic group, officer of the Southwest Forensic Psychiatry Center, Ministry of Health) expressed her high agreement with the opinion of delegate Pham Khanh Phong Lan (Ho Chi Minh City) about the difficulties of the health sector, while highly appreciating the achievements of the sector in the past 5 years and expressing many expectations for the next term.
Dr. Thach Thi Thuy Loan commented that the medical field has made remarkable progress in the past 5 years. Right in Can Tho city, there are now many large-scale medical facilities, invested in many high-tech scientific and technical technologies, imported from abroad, ensuring good diagnosis and treatment. "A specific example is that the city has one of the largest stroke diagnosis centers, trusted by the whole country for its treatment and diagnosis levels," Dr. Loan shared. Advances in medicine, along with general development in all fields, have contributed to helping Can Tho achieve great socio-economic results, with an average GRDP growth rate in the past 5 years reaching nearly 5.9%, higher than the period 2015 - 2020.
As a voter working in the industry, Dr. Thach Thi Thuy Loan expressed her hope that in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party, State, Government, and National Assembly will continue to pay more attention to the health sector. She especially emphasized the new context of Can Tho after the merger of Hau Giang and Soc Trang, the city's administrative boundaries are now very large, the population is larger, which means the people's demand for health care is increasing. From this reality, Dr. Loan proposed that the Party and State need to pay attention and invest in upgrading infrastructure, especially perfecting the hospital and primary health care system, while creating conditions for medical facilities to best promote human resources and trained scientific and technical qualifications to serve the people. Voter Thach Thi Thuy Loan hopes that with appropriate investment, Can Tho will continue to promote its potential, attract many talents, and build the city into a key economic center of the Mekong Delta.
Long-term plan to respond to climate change
Agreeing with the opinion of delegate To Ai Vang (Can Tho) warning that climate change has, is, and will greatly affect 6 key economic regions in our country, voter Pham Ngoc Hung, former Principal of the Hau Giang Provincial Political School (old), said that this is a problem that has been identified for a long time, but the unexpected and extreme nature of natural disasters requires the Party and State to have a longer-term, more drastic strategy in the 2025 - 2030 term.
According to voter Pham Ngoc Hung, although the issue of climate change has been warned, the reality of natural disasters and floods still comes very suddenly, leaving us "unable to react". Heavy rains causing serious flooding in large cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, or drought and saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta are clear evidence. "It is clear that we cannot respond in time, so the damage is huge", Mr. Hung worried.
Expressing his wishes for the 2025 - 2030 term, voter Pham Ngoc Hung hopes that the Party, State and National Assembly will have longer-term and more drastic programs and plans to effectively respond to climate change. The Central Committee needs to promote the intelligence of the entire people and the 5.7 million Party members to have a comprehensive and proactive plan for the country, instead of being passive as in the past. Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung expressed his belief that the Party and State will lead the country together with the people to overcome new difficulties and challenges, including climate change, to continue to develop the country.
