According to the plan, on November 1, construction of schools in A Vuong, Hung Son, La Ee and La Dee communes will start; on November 2, construction of a school in Dac Pring commune will start.
However, due to the prolonged heavy rain causing serious flooding and landslides in the mountainous areas west of the city, due to the impact of storm No. 12, many key traffic routes were cut off, posing a potential risk of insecurity, affecting the organization of groundbreaking ceremonies for school projects.
To ensure absolute safety for officials, workers and people in the area, especially students, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has sent an official dispatch requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to report to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval to postpone the groundbreaking ceremony of 5 inter-level boarding schools after the weather conditions are stable and traffic is restored.
At the same time, the City People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to temporarily suspend all activities of preparation, moving, installation, decoration, erecting stands, gathering materials and other works serving the groundbreaking ceremony.
Concentrate human and material resources to prevent, combat and overcome consequences of floods and storms, ensure traffic safety and people's lives.
