(HQ Online) - On March 27, 2024, at the headquarters of the General Department of Customs, the Ministry of Finance held a conference to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, to the position of Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs. Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi chaired the conference.

On March 25, 2024, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision No. 499/QD-BTC appointing Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, to hold the position of Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs from April 2, 2024.
At the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Finance) Pham Xuan Thuy announced Decision 499/QD-BTC dated March 25, 2024.
On behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate Deputy General Director Dinh Ngoc Thang.
Speaking at the conference, the Deputy Minister of Finance highly appreciated the General Department of Customs for not only completing its assigned political tasks well, but also doing a good job in training staff. The strengthening of the senior staff and the appointment of Deputy Director General Dinh Ngoc Thang will contribute to enhancing the capacity of the leadership and direction team of the General Department of Customs, on that basis to successfully complete the tasks in 2024 and the following years.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi believes that with nearly 30 years of working in the Customs sector, having held many positions, the new Deputy Director General Dinh Ngoc Thang will successfully complete the assigned tasks, and together with the leadership of the General Department of Customs, direct and successfully implement many new goals of the sector.
To successfully complete the tasks in the new position, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi requested Deputy Director General Dinh Ngoc Thang to pay attention to performing well the key tasks such as: Uniting with the leadership of the General Department of Customs, leading and directing the whole sector to successfully complete the tasks; always having a good spirit of cooperation with units inside and outside the sector during the working process; constantly cultivating, studying and improving qualifications and capacity to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new working position...
The Deputy Minister requested the General Department's leadership and civil servants, public employees, and workers of the entire industry to cooperate, support, and create favorable conditions for the new Deputy General Director Dinh Ngoc Thang to successfully complete his tasks.
