The Department of Petroleum and BSR signed a cooperation regulation on the production of special fuel for national defense.

In the period of 2020 - 2024, the cooperation between the Petroleum Department and BSR in the supply of special fuels for national defense has achieved many positive results, contributing significantly to ensuring fuel for the army in all situations, including sudden missions and in complex conditions.

Representatives of the Petroleum Department and BSR signed a coordination regulation for the period 2025 - 2030.

The two sides have closely coordinated in research, development and trial production of special fuels, moving towards commercial production to meet military technical equipment requirements. On November 29, 2022, BSR completed and handed over the first batch of Jet A-1K fuel to the Petroleum Department. At the same time, BSR also deployed the production of L-62 Diesel fuel and RON 83 gasoline according to the coordination plan between the two units.

Test results show that the special fuels produced by BSR are all of good quality, meeting all national defense technical standards. From 2022 to present, BSR has supplied about 222,500 cubic meters of special fuels including Jet A-1K, Diesel L-62 and RON 83 gasoline to the Petroleum Department.

Along with fuel supply activities, in the period of 2020 - 2022, the two sides actively coordinated to implement the investment project to build Petroleum Warehouse 85 with a capacity of 45,000 cubic meters and a product pipeline system, contributing to completing the infrastructure to serve the work of ensuring technical logistics for the armed forces.

Individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense .

In the coming time, BSR and the Petroleum Department will continue to strengthen coordination in the production and supply of special fuels and the effective operation of Petroleum Warehouse 85. The two sides will organize the delivery and dispatch of products from Dung Quat Oil Refinery to Petroleum Warehouse 85 and from the warehouse to the product export port according to the correct procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company commits to supplying fuels for national defense according to the needs of the Petroleum Department, based on the production capacity of the unit. The two sides also closely coordinate in maintenance, repair, fire prevention and fighting, security and safety for Dung Quat Oil Refinery and Petroleum Warehouse 85, and proactively develop response plans and handle possible emergency situations.

The Petroleum Department and BSR will jointly research, develop and supply more specialized products such as lubricants for national defense. At the same time, they will strengthen cooperation in exchanging experiences and improving the quality of petroleum products to meet the increasing demands in the task of ensuring petroleum for the military.

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defense awarded Certificates of Merit from Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang to 9 groups and 9 individuals of BSR for their positive and effective contributions in the cooperation process serving the task of ensuring fuel for national defense.
