According to the VNA correspondent in Buenos Aires, during his visit to Argentina, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia had talks, exchanges and meetings with the acting General Secretary of the Communist Party of Argentina Jorge Kreyness; General Secretary of the Communist Party of Uruguay Juan Castillo; Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Justicial Party, former Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs , Jorge Taiana; Deputy Head of the Education Committee of the House of Representatives Blanca Ines Osuna and the Argentina-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group; leaders of Buenos Aires province; President of the Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute, Poldi Sosa; leaders of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Religion. The delegation also attended an international conference on "President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam-Latin America relations"; laid flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument, visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina.

At the meetings, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highlighted the significance of the visit, which took place in the context of Vietnam and Argentina celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (October 25, 1973 - October 25, 2023) and preparing to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive partnership. The visit aims to strengthen political trust, creating a foundation to continue promoting the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Argentina.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia conveyed the warm greetings and regards of General Secretary and President To Lam and the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to the leaders of political parties and people's organizations in Argentina and Uruguay; thanked the solidarity, friendship, support and assistance of the progressive people of Latin American countries, especially the people of Argentina and Uruguay, for the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of renovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland of Vietnam today; and sincerely thanked the friendly Parties for sending letters and telegrams of condolences to the leaders of our Party on the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated the achievements that political parties in Argentina have made in recent times, shared the difficulties that Argentina is facing; believed that with a long tradition and correct guidelines, political parties and mass organizations of Argentina will soon overcome difficulties and challenges, continue to gain many new victories in the struggle for peace, national independence, democracy, progress and social justice, building an increasingly developed and prosperous Argentina.

Regarding the situation in Vietnam, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highlighted Vietnam's achievements and lessons learned after nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation policy; development goals, policies in various fields, key points and strategic breakthroughs set by the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, striving to become a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia also shared his assessment of the world and regional situation, most recently emerging as hot spots of interest to the international community; affirming that Vietnam continues to consistently implement its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, attaching importance to developing traditional friendly and cooperative relations with neighboring countries, major countries and traditional friends, including Latin American countries.

Leaders of political parties and organizations of Argentina and Uruguay congratulated and expressed admiration for the achievements that Vietnam has made in the renovation process as well as in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, especially in socio-economic development; believing that under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the support of the people and the international community, Vietnam will continue to gain even greater new achievements in the renovation process, successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, and successfully build a prosperous, democratic, equitable and civilized Vietnam.

Leaders of political parties emphasized the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh and generations of leaders in the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past as well as in the current renovation process, considering this a valuable example and lesson for political parties in Argentina and Uruguay.

Leaders of Argentine political parties also informed about the situation of the two countries, the situation of political parties in Argentina, including the difficulties and challenges that leftist and communist parties are facing after the change of government; shared policies and measures in the work of building and developing the parties.

Regarding the relationship between Vietnam and Argentina, the two sides discussed and agreed to continue to maintain delegation exchanges, increase meetings and contacts between all levels and people's organizations; improve the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, expand other cooperation mechanisms; increase information and experience sharing in Party building and national development; coordinate and support each other at regional and international forums.
