Attending the event were comrade Dao Trong Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; leaders of Hai Phong City Youth Union of different periods, representatives of leaders of the city's departments, agencies and generations of cadres and employees.
On May 13, 1975, Hai Phong Youth Club was established under the direction of the City Youth Union's Propaganda Department. Through many stages of transformation and name changes, from Youth Cultural House to Hai Phong Youth Cultural and Sports Palace, the unit always adheres to its political tasks and is closely associated with the lives of the city's youth.
In recent years, Hai Phong Youth Palace has opened many new class and club models. Currently, there are over 30 models with strengths such as Sports Dance, MC, Pickleball, Basketball, Badminton, Yoga, Aerobics, Bodybuilding, Zumba dance, Piano, Guitar, Fine Arts, Martial Arts... always attracting students and members to study and participate in activities. The class and club activities of Hai Phong Youth Palace have affirmed their role as a training and development center outside of school, contributing to the orientation andeducation of morality, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics for young people. From here, hundreds of medals and certificates of merit in all types of fields such as music, dance sport, martial arts... have been brought back to enrich the tradition of the Palace.
With the function of being a professional agency of the City Youth Union, the Hai Phong Youth Culture and Sports Palace is always the venue and the core unit in implementing the activities of the city's youth movement. In addition, the Palace actively organizes and participates in major events of the Central Youth Union; prepares and provides good service in terms of venues and facilities for cultural and artistic activities, sports, sports competitions, conferences, seminars, etc. organized annually by the Departments, branches, sectors and units in the city.
Director of Hai Phong Youth Sports and Culture Palace Nguyen Van Lap said: entering a new stage, Hai Phong Youth Sports and Culture Palace continues to promote traditional values, innovate its operation methods to meet the increasing needs of young people in the digital age. Applying technology, improving the quality of facilities, expanding creative activities, modernizing event organization methods and connecting domestic and foreign organizations will be important directions in the coming time. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of its establishment, looking back on the past, each cadre, civil servant and employee of the Palace is more proud of the achievements of previous generations, constantly striving and making efforts to continue the glorious tradition. From there, the Hai Phong Youth Sports and Culture Palace continues to take firm steps in the career of training and educating the young generation, worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, the city government, the Central Youth Union and directly the Hai Phong City Youth Union, contributing to building a civilized, modern and unique Port City, firmly entering a new era of development with the country and the city.
Acknowledging the efforts of the staff, civil servants and employees of the Hai Phong Youth Culture and Sports Palace, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Comrade Dao Trong Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, hopes that the leaders, staff, civil servants and employees of the Hai Phong Youth Culture and Sports Palace will continue to promote the achieved results, overcome difficulties, innovate thinking, and be more creative in implementing professional activities; excellently complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the trust and love of the Youth Union and the people of the city. Entering a new stage, youth is an important factor in the era of national development, the Hai Phong Youth Culture and Sports Palace needs to continue to affirm its continuous progress in the journey to get closer to young people; conquer the distances and challenges in the new era, worthy of being a cultural address, a place to nurture the dreams and ambitions of young people...
At the Ceremony, Hai Phong Youth Sports and Culture Palace was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; a banner from the City People's Committee with the content: "Solidarity, innovation, creativity, development contribute to building a civilized and modern Hai Phong city". Also on this occasion, 05 individuals with many achievements in work, contributing to the process of building and developing Hai Phong Youth Sports and Culture Palace were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee; 11 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the City Youth Union. /.
