At nearly 9:00 a.m., the company listed SJC gold bars at 120 million VND/tael (buy) - 122 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day.
The price of gold rings also increased. Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed gold rings at VND114.5 million/tael (buy) - VND117.1 million/tael (sell), VND500,000/tael higher than the end of yesterday.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited increased by 500,000 VND/tael each way, to 117 million VND/tael (buy) - 120 million VND/tael (sell).
Domestic gold prices increased due to the influence of the international market. At the end of the week, the world gold price increased sharply to 3,325 USD/ounce as investment demand for this commodity increased. Overall, the gold price increased by about 3% for the whole week.
Looking back at the domestic gold market, on the first day of the week, May 5, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 1.5 million VND/tael, falling below the 120 million VND/tael mark, down to 117.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.8 million VND/tael (sell).
The next day, the price of precious metals initially increased to 3.5 million VND/tael, and by the end of the day it increased by 2.4 million VND/tael, to 120.2 million VND/tael (buy) - 122.2 million VND/tael (sell) in the context of the world gold price increasing by 2.3%, to 3,315.09 USD due to the decrease in USD price and the increased demand for buying gold to secure assets.
After a day of almost standing still, on May 8, the gold price decreased by 1.7 million VND/tael, down to 118.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.5 million VND/tael (sell), then increased by 1 million VND/tael the next day.
Compared to last weekend, the price of SJC gold bars is now 700,000 VND/tael higher. The price of gold rings also follows the same trend as SJC gold bars, but the increase-decrease rate is lower.
