Rescued 3 people in a house fire at dawn in Hai Phong

(PLVN) - In the early morning of November 7, a fire broke out at a high-rise building on Mieu Hai Xa Street (Le Chan Ward, Hai Phong City), trapping 3 people on the 3rd floor. Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police and Rescue Force of Hai Phong City Police deployed forces to promptly rescue the victims and extinguish the fire.

According to initial information, the fire broke out on the third floor of the house, where there were many flammable objects. When the police arrived, thick smoke covered the area, directly threatening the lives of those inside. The fire fighting and rescue team of area 1 mobilized 2 fire trucks with officers and soldiers to quickly approach the scene.

Authorities determined that three people were trapped , including Ms. NTH (born in 1948) , Ms. PTP (born in 1969) and her nephew DGB (born in 2020) . Faced with the emergency situation, the task force deployed two rescue directions at the same time: the staircase inside and the fire escape outside the building.

Using protective equipment and appropriate approaches, the police brought two victims down safely via the stairs , while the remaining person was assisted to escape using a fire ladder located outside the house. In parallel with rescuing people, the fire department also organized to isolate and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to upper floors or neighboring buildings.

By the morning of November 7, the fire was basically under control.

Currently, authorities are examining the scene and collecting information to determine the cause of the fire .
