On November 17, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, announced that it had successfully rescued a patient weighing nearly 150kg, paralyzed on one side, who had a stroke from the 3rd floor of a house in alley 521, Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Hoa Hung Ward, to the ground and transferred him to the hospital for emergency treatment. The victim is now out of danger.

The victim was Mr. VXC (born in 1987). According to his family, Mr. C. was paralyzed on one side of his body, weighed nearly 150kg, and could not move on his own. He lived on the third floor of the house. When they discovered that Mr. C. had a stroke, they were unable to move him to the ground, so they called the rescue team.

Upon receiving the news, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Duc, Deputy Head of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Zone 10, and the working group went to the scene to quickly assess the situation and deploy a plan to bring the victim to the ground. The working group located the victim's spine, then moved the victim onto the slide and focused on moving the victim through the narrow staircase.

The work of moving was extremely difficult because the stairs were small, the slope of the stairs was large, in addition, there were some positions of spiral iron stairs, just a slip of the hand could cause the victim to fall, endangering his life. Thanks to the application of rescue methods in small, narrow spaces, in a short time the victim was taken out of the house and transferred to the emergency hospital.
