Immediately after receiving the information, the Border Guard Command of Ca Mau province directed units to notify the watchtower and fishing boats operating near the above area to grasp the information and coordinate search and rescue in heavy rain, dark night and big waves.
Khanh Hoi Border Guard Station, Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard Command mobilized 8 officers and soldiers, 2 fishing boats of the people, KG 92222TS and KG 91023TS, and 10 fishermen to participate in the search and rescue.
At 8:00 p.m., the force rescued the first fisherman and brought him onto the CM 99102TS ship. At about 9:45 p.m. the same day, the rescue team of Khanh Hoi Border Guard Station approached and rescued 14 fishermen who were drifting at sea and brought them safely onto the ship.
Currently, a crew member with a serious leg injury has been brought ashore for emergency treatment by fishing boat KG 92222TS; the remaining 14 fishermen are in stable health and staying on boat KG 91714TS owned by Mr. Danh Nam, which is anchored at the location where boat KG 9055TS sank to continue finding a way to salvage the boat on October 3.
