Investing 413 billion VND to develop medium and low voltage power grid in Dong Thap province by 2025

Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has just decided to approve the investment portfolio for developing medium and low voltage power grids in the province in 2025 with a total investment capital of VND 413,300 billion (electricity sector capital managed by Dong Thap Electricity Company is VND 378,747 billion; local budget counterpart capital according to budget decentralization is VND 34,553 billion).

Developing the power grid to meet the requirements of socio -economic development tasks

Accordingly, the investment volume includes: new construction of 62.05km, renovation of 417.61km of medium voltage lines; new construction of 203.87km, renovation of 446.8km of low voltage lines; installation of 541 new transformer stations with a total capacity of 41,484 kVA.

This investment aims to improve the reliability of power supply and meet the requirements of socio-economic development tasks in the province; ensure 22kV grid connection between 110/22kV stations; upgrade 1-phase to 3-phase transformer stations, medium and low voltage lines; develop the power grid to meet people's electricity needs, promptly resolve voters' recommendations in power supply. At the same time, prevent overloading of existing transformer stations; reduce power supply radius; contribute to reducing power loss on existing medium and low voltage grids, ensure power supply reliability, stable and safe power supply.
