10 missing sailors rescued at sea in Ha Tinh

At noon on May 26, according to Ha Tinh Port Authority, 10 crew members on the Cong Thanh 07 ship were found and saved by rescue forces.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tung - Director of Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority confirmed the above information to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter.

Mr. Tung said that basically all crew members on the Cong Thanh 07 ship that had an accident on May 25 were successfully rescued.

“We are now determining whether there were 10 or 11 people on the ship before the accident. If there were only 10 people, then we can consider that everyone was saved. If there were 11 people, then there is still one person missing,” Mr. Tung shared.

As reported, the Cong Thanh 07 ship carrying 4,900 tons of coal from Quang Ninh to Quang Binh sank on the evening of May 25, about 9 nautical miles from Vung Ang port. Initial information shows that at the time of the accident, there were 11 crew members on board.
