Diversify forms of tourism product promotion

In addition to gradually improving service quality, improving the business environment, and attracting investment, authorities at all levels, departments, sectors, and people are making efforts to diversify products to attract tourists while still preserving the traditional features and characteristics of each region, area, and ethnic group in Ha Giang.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai said: “To attract tourists to Ha Giang, the province has successfully organized festival programs that attract a large number of people and tourists. At the same time, it has organized specialized conferences on tourism development and met with tourism businesses, tourism media units as well as promoted communication through cultural and tourism events, fairs, tourism stimulus programs in provinces and cities across the country... Therefore, in the first quarter of 2025 alone, the number of tourists to Ha Giang reached nearly 900,000 arrivals”.

Tourism promotion and advertising activities are promoted and implemented continuously in many different forms. Specialized units actively advise on programs and plans to organize and participate in tourism promotion activities inside and outside the province, actively contributing to spreading the image and positive signals of Ha Giang tourism to domestic and foreign tourists.

For example, during these historic April days, Ha Giang participated in a booth to introduce typical tourism products at the "Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2025" with the theme "Developing Green Destinations, Elevating Vietnam Tourism". The fair gathered more than 600 businesses, with 450 booths from 16 countries and territories, with the participation of 8 airlines and 60 domestic and foreign tourism promotion agencies. Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, Lai Quoc Tinh said: "Through the space of the Fair, we, the people who are passionate about Ha Giang tourism, want to send the most quintessential tourism message about the culture, people, and natural landscape of Ha Giang to all classes of tourists around the world".

The booth at the Ha Giang Fair attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists and travel agencies. Not only introducing the rich tourism potential with famous destinations, Ha Giang also brought to this fair a part of the soul of the mountains and forests through typical agricultural products. The most prominent products are: ancient Shan Tuyet tea from Tay Con Linh region; Mong brocade and Mint honey from the Stone Plateau region or the typical Gu Chung cakes only found in the highlands of Ha Giang. In addition, the space for enjoying Shan Tuyet tea was delicately decorated right in the booth and has truly become an ideal stop for tourists.

Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, a tourist from Quang Binh, confided: “Although I am young, I am very interested in products made from tea trees, especially organic tea products. I have drunk many types of Vietnamese tea, but the flavor of Shan Tuyet Ha Giang tea has something very different, hard to describe”. As for Ms. Tran Thi Sinh, residing in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, a person who has been to Ha Giang many times, shared: “The tourism products of Ha Giang carry the essence and value, not only for preservation but also have been and are being developed into tourism products. My family will continue to visit Ha Giang with friends”.

The publications at the booth introduced in detail the traditional destinations as well as new destinations of Ha Giang, making a special impression on visitors. This suggested that travel agencies should build more tours and longer routes for visitors to experience. The 2025 Hanoi International Tourism Fair is not only an opportunity for Ha Giang to promote its tourism image but also affirms the brand of a Green, sustainable and national identity tourism destination, and the title of "Ha Giang - Asia's leading regional cultural destination".
