Da Nang spends more than 108 billion VND to exempt tuition fees for students

On July 30, at the 19th session, term X, the People's Council of Da Nang City for the 2021-2026 term, delegates voted to pass a Resolution on tuition support for preschool children, primary school students, and students at vocationaleducation institutions for the 2024-2025 school year in Da Nang City.

The subjects of application are preschool children, students of public and non-public general schools, including students at continuing education centers following the general education program. Private primary school students are eligible for tuition reduction policies according to regulations.

Da Nang spends more than 108 billion VND to exempt tuition fees, and this is the fourth consecutive year the city has spent the budget to exempt tuition fees for students.

Students with permanent residence in Da Nang City are studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions in Da Nang City.

Specifically, Da Nang supports 100% of tuition fees for public preschool and general education for 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year. Support 100% of tuition fees for students studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions for up to 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year.

Subjects who are entitled to tuition fee reduction according to the policies of the Central Government and the City will be compensated with support equal to 100% of the tuition fees for public preschool and general education in the 2024-2025 school year.

The local budget supports 100% of the tuition fees set by the Da Nang City People's Council, with the total expected support cost being more than 108 billion VND.
