According to Da Nang City Police, this group used a server system, IT equipment and unregistered phone SIM cards to create a series of virtual social network accounts such as Telegram, Viber, Tinder, Zalo... to rent to scammers and gambling organizations in Cambodia, illegally earning billions of dong.

Previously, on the morning of November 4, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency coordinated with the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Da Nang City Police and professional units to conduct an inspection at the headquarters of Vietbot Company, located at 53 Bau Gia Thuong 2, Cam Le Ward.

At the time of the inspection, the police discovered 26 subjects, of which Dao Xuan Hoang (born in 1993, residing in Dak Lak province) was identified as the leader. During the investigation, the police determined that Hoang's group used a server system, computer equipment and unregistered phone SIM cards to create a series of virtual social network accounts such as Telegram, Viber, Tinder, Zalo... to defraud and organize gambling for hire, making illegal profits.

During the inspection of 2 houses rented by the group, the police force continued to discover 22 subjects using 26 desktop computers and 26 CPUs. The central control room alone had 78 CPUs connected to 169 login devices and 2,000 mobile phones.

Through initial data extraction, some social network accounts of Hoang and his accomplices rented out, determining that the group of tenants using them were mostly a group of scammers operating in Cambodia. The Cyber ​​Security Department determined that the monthly revenue of Vietbot Company was about 2 billion VND.

Currently, the City Police are extracting data from electronic devices, investigating and clarifying criminal acts to handle them according to the law./.
