After nearly 2 days of exciting and dramatic competition, at noon on November 6, the 2025 An Giang Province Ngo Boat Race officially ended with the awarding ceremony for the teams with high achievements in the men's 1,200m event.

This is the most attractive sporting event in the series of activities of the 17th Khmer Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival in An Giang province in 2025, organized by the Provincial People's Committee in Go Quao commune, from November 4 to 6.

This year’s Ngo boat race attracted the participation of about 4,000 coaches, male and female athletes, with 57 Ngo boats competing in 3 events: 800m men, 1,200m men and 800m mixed men and women. On November 5, the competitions took place in the 800m men and 800m mixed men and women.

In the men's 1,200m event, 22 ghe ngo teams competed, divided into 6 groups. The teams competed in a round robin to calculate points, selecting the 6 best teams in each group and the 2 best second-placed teams to enter the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

As a result, the first prize went to the dragon boat team of Lang Cat pagoda, Rach Gia ward. The dragon boat team of Tong Quan pagoda, Dinh Hoa commune won second prize; the third prize went to the dragon boat team of Giong Da pagoda, Giong Rieng commune.

According to the organizers' assessment, with investment, careful preparation and training, and even professional level, the teams participating in this year's season have given the audience fierce competitions and dramatic, exciting chases.
