6 airports stop receiving aircraft from this afternoon
Specifically: Phu Cat Airport, temporarily suspended from 2:00 p.m. on November 6 to 1:00 a.m. on November 7, 2025.
Chu Lai Airport, temporarily closed from 7:00 p.m. November 6 to 3:00 a.m. November 7, 2025.
Tuy Hoa Airport, temporarily closed from 3:00 p.m. on November 6 to 8:00 p.m. on November 6, 2025.
Pleiku Airport, temporarily closed from 8:00 p.m. on November 6 to 4:00 a.m. on November 7, 2025.
Buon Ma Thuot Airport, temporarily closed from 7:00 p.m. on November 6 to 4:00 a.m. on November 7, 2025.
Lien Khuong International Airport, temporarily closed from 7:00 p.m. on November 6 to 0:00 a.m. on November 7.
Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued a document directing relevant units to proactively prevent, avoid, and respond to storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi), ensuring safety of flight operations, people and property at airports, and minimizing negative impacts on flight operations.
Airports inspect port infrastructure systems, communication systems... to promptly detect and handle damages (if any) to ensure safety for works, stations, and ensure safety for operations at airports.
At the same time, deploy plans to prevent rain and storms, measures to prevent flooding, clear the flow in airports, protect works, vehicles and equipment at airports, minimize damage caused by rain and storms and quickly stabilize all aviation activities to serve the needs of passengers.
In addition, it is necessary to closely monitor the developments of storm No. 13 to have plans to adjust flight plans or change flight schedules accordingly and ensure safety for flight operations; fully update meteorological information from relevant aviation meteorological facilities and base on the actual situation to deploy necessary response actions, minimize impacts on operations, ensure flight safety, protect people and property of the unit from natural disasters.
Cancellation and delay of many flights
Vietnam Airlines representative said that they will adjust the operation plan at many airports on November 6 and 7.
Specifically, the airline will cancel flights between Tan Son Nhat airport and Phu Cat airport ( Gia Lai ), including VN1390, VN1391, VN1394 and VN1395 on November 6 and VN1392, VN1393 on November 7. Flights VN1622 and VN1623 between Noi Bai airport and Phu Cat airport on November 6 will have their departure schedule adjusted 12 hours in advance.
On the route between Tan Son Nhat Airport and Chu Lai Airport ( Da Nang ), flights VN1464, VN1465, VN1468 and VN1469 on November 6 will be operated before 12:00. The airline also adjusted the departure time of flights VN1640 and VN1641 on November 7 between Noi Bai Airport and Chu Lai Airport after 10:00 am.
Notably, on November 6, the airline will not operate flights VN1650 and VN1651 on the route between Noi Bai airport and Tuy Hoa airport (Dak Lak).
On November 7, flights VN1650, VN1651, VN1660 and VN1661 between Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Tuy Hoa airports will be operated after 12 hours.
At the same time, Vietnam Airlines will adjust the departure time of flights VN1422 and VN1423 on November 6 between Tan Son Nhat Airport and Pleiku Airport (Gia Lai) to before 12:00. Flights VN1614 and VN1615 on November 7 between Noi Bai Airport and Pleiku Airport will be delayed to after 13:00.
In addition, flights VN1414, VN1415, VN1910 and VN1911 on November 6 between Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang and Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak) airports will be operated after 11:00. Flights VN1602 and VN1603 on November 7 between Noi Bai and Buon Ma Thuot airports will be adjusted to take off after 13:00.
Flights VN1548, VN1549, VN1376 and VN1377 on November 6 between Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Phu Bai (Hue) airports will be operated after 12:00. Flights VN1366 and VN1367 on November 7 between Tan Son Nhat and Phu Bai airports will be operated after 13:00.
In addition, Vasco Airlines will also not operate flights 0V8024 and 0V8025 between Tan Son Nhat Airport and Lien Khuong Airport (Lam Dong) on November 6.
"Due to the adjustment of flight schedules to ensure flight safety, more than 50 other flights of the airline on November 6 and 7 were also affected," said a representative of Vietnam Airlines.
Similarly, on Vietjet's Facebook page, the airline also announced that flights to and from Da Lat, Tuy Hoa, Quy Nhon and Chu Lai airports on November 6 must adjust their operating plans.
Accordingly, the airline will temporarily suspend flights VJ729, VJ728 on the Da Nang - Da Lat route, flights VJ362, VJ363 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat route; VJ409, VJ410 on the Hanoi - Da Lat route; VJ206, VJ207 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa route; VJ433, VJ432 on the Hanoi - Quy Nhon route; VJ384, VJ385 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon route; VJ376, VJ377 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Chu Lai route.
Vietjet also changed the departure time of flights: VJ715; VJ714 Thanh Hoa - Da Lat route.
Airlines recommend that passengers with flights to and from Da Nang, Phu Bai, Lien Khuong, Chu Lai, Phu Cat, Tuy Hoa, Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, Cam Ranh, Dong Hoi airports during this time should check flight schedules and weather before arriving at the airport to proactively plan their schedules. Some flights may be temporarily suspended or have their flight times changed due to the storm.
