Units stationed on the islands have urgently reviewed and reinforced disaster prevention and control works; stocked up on materials, food, and fresh water; prepared safe shelters for fishermen and arranged forces on duty 24/7 to support and guide boats to anchor safely when the weather turns bad.
Up to now, more than 300 fishing boats with over 3,000 fishermen have been guided to take shelter from the storm on islands with ports such as Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Truong Sa, Da Tay... The islands have provided over 20,000 liters of fresh water, many essential necessities and arranged temporary accommodation on the island for fishermen during the time affected by the storm. The forces regularly visit, encourage, help people stabilize their spirits, feel secure to take shelter, and together overcome the storm safely.

On the islands, officers, soldiers and forces are closely coordinating with the people, reinforcing houses, tying down vehicles, and moving people and property to safety.
Units strictly maintain on-duty regime, regularly update and issue notices on weather and storm conditions; at the same time, increase support for fishermen by providing food, fresh water, medical care, ensuring a stable life in conditions where storms may last long. Rescue forces and vehicles are always ready to mobilize in case of emergency, not to be passive or surprised.

Along with that, Truong Sa Special Zone coordinated with the Border Guard on the islands to unify response plans, promptly calling on ships to take shelter in safe places. The initiative, responsibility and high determination of officers and soldiers on the islands have contributed significantly to ensuring the safety of lives and property of people and fishermen, maintaining peace in the stormy places of the Fatherland.
