The school contacted two veterans, Mr. Le Van Bang and Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, who were present at the ceremony that day, so that the students could apologize to the soldiers. The two veterans listened to the students' apologies with sympathy and understanding, and believed that the students' actions were impulsive and due to their youthfulness. They did not hold grudges, and at the same time hoped that the community would create conditions for the students to correct their mistakes, continue to study, and develop their future.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology held a meeting of the Student Disciplinary Council to review the incident comprehensively, based on the report, and to evaluate the student's sincerity and desire to correct his mistakes. The school agreed on a form of reprimand, requiring the student to seriously review and commit to not re-offending.

The Student Affairs Department, Faculty of Tourism - Restaurant - Hotel Management and related units will continue to monitor and support students in the coming time.
