Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographers in Ha Tinh province, term 2024

(NADS) - On the morning of December 10, at the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (NSNAVN) of Ha Tinh province held the Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association; Mr. Tran Nam Phong, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association; representatives of the Ha Tinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Executive Board of the Ha Tinh Art Photography Club and members of the Association.

Opening the Congress, Artist Nguyen Dinh Thong, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ha Tinh province, presented the Summary Report of activities for the 2019-2024 term and the Review Report of the Association's Executive Committee.

The activities of the Association in the past term achieved many remarkable achievements thanks to the support from the provincial leaders, relevant agencies and the consensus of the members. In the past year, the Association recognized the Ha Tinh Art Photography Club as the focal point for activities, coordinating the organization of professional activities. Notably, the Association organized a training course chaired by NSNA Vu Huyen, achieving good results; coordinated with the Photography Board to successfully organize the North Central Art Photography Festival in 2024; organized creative trips, in which 2 members participated in composing in Truong Sa archipelago; and played a key role in organizing the personal photo exhibition "Heroic Army - Exemplary War Veterans " by author Le Anh Thi. These activities received high appreciation from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and related units.

Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Xuan Hai, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Journalists Association presented flowers to congratulate the Congress.

The Association's direction for the 2024 - 2029 term is to strengthen and rejuvenate the team by attracting and nurturing young people who love photography, recruiting at least 2 new members, ensuring members have solid expertise and professional ethics. The Association will also organize practical creation sessions, participate in competitions and movements, create conditions for the Club to develop, mobilize social resources, enhance professional exchanges to improve qualifications and introduce the beauty of Ha Tinh through works of art.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association Nguyen Xuan Hai affirmed: "Photography has a sacred mission in preserving moments, truthfully reflecting people and life."

Chairman of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association, Tran Nam Phong, congratulated the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ha Tinh province on its outstanding achievements in the past term. He hoped that the Association would continue to develop, recruit new members, and contribute to the cause of literature and arts and the development of the province.

The President of the Ha Tinh Art Photography Club, Le Anh Thi, expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ha Tinh for their attention, companionship and support over the past time. The connection and cooperation between the Association and the Club have contributed to promoting the local photography movement, creating conditions for members to develop their careers and contribute to art.

Delegates presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Association for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Within the framework of the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ha Tinh province, the members elected the Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term and delegates to the National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress unanimously elected Artist Tran Huong as Branch Head and Artist Nguyen Thanh Hai as Branch Vice Head. Delegates to the National Congress include Artist Dinh Thong and Artist Tran Huong, and alternate delegate is Artist Dau Binh.
