On the morning of May 20, the Farmers' Association of Thanh Hoa City held the 12th Congress of Delegates for the 2023-2028 term.

Attending the conference were comrades: Le Anh Xuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee; Tran Binh Quan, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association; Trinh Huy Trieu, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee; Ha Thi Lan Huong, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association; and representatives of the city's farmers' association.

During the past term, the activities of the Association and the farmers' movement in the city have had many positive changes, many activities of the Association have brought practical benefits to farmers; the operation methods of the Association have been increasingly innovated, oriented towards the grassroots, in a practical and effective direction; the Association at all levels have gradually matured and become stronger; the team of association officials has been timely strengthened, meeting the requirements of innovation of the task. The lives of officials and members have been significantly improved in all aspects. During the term, 17/17 targets were completed and exceeded. In 5 years, 1,083 members were admitted, bringing the total number of members in the city to 20,237; 222/222 branches have funds; 9,703 farmer households are good at production and business.

Propaganda and mobilization work for farmers is diverse and rich; the work of building the Association has many positive changes; service activities, consulting, and supporting farmers are increasingly promoted to better meet the practical needs of members and farmers. The Association's central and core role in farmers' movements and the new rural construction is increasingly evident; contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic goals and maintaining stability in the security, political situation, and social order and safety of the city.
Promoting the spirit of democracy, solidarity, creativity, integration and development, in the 2023-2028 term, Thanh Hoa City Farmers' Association will continue to focus on innovating methods and contents of activities, strengthening the construction and consolidation of a strong Association in all aspects; performing well the representative function, taking care of and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and farmers; organizing well the activities of consulting and supporting farmers. Actively participating in social supervision and criticism, contributing to building a strong Party and government at all levels. Effectively organizing and implementing the "Farmers' movement to compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; "Farmers' movement to compete in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "participating in ensuring national defense and security", contributing with the Party Committee and the People to turn Thanh Hoa city into a smart, civilized and modern urban area.
Comrade Ha Thi Lan Huong, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial People's Council, spoke at the congress.
Speaking at the congress, comrade Ha Thi Lan Huong, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association, acknowledged and commended the results that the Thanh Hoa City Farmers' Association had achieved in the past term. Regarding the direction, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2023-2028 term, the Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association emphasized: The Thanh Hoa City Farmers' Association needs to continue to innovate the content and forms of propaganda, political and ideological education, mobilizing cadres, members and farmers to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially in the fields of agriculture, rural areas and the Association's Charter and resolutions; promote the building and consolidation of the Association's organization, improve the quality of activities of branches and groups; diversify forms of gathering members; continue to promote activities to support farmers; proactively guide farmers to participate in building the Party, the government, and building a clean and strong political system.

Discussions at the congress highlighted positive aspects, frankly pointed out shortcomings and limitations, and agreed on directions, goals and tasks, while also providing solutions for the association's work and the farmers' movement in the coming term.
The Executive Committee of Thanh Hoa City People's Council, term 2023-2028, was introduced to the congress.
The Congress elected 33 members of the Executive Committee of the City People's Council for the new term, and elected a delegation to attend the Provincial People's Council Congress for the 2023-2028 term. Comrade Do Thanh Tam was re-elected as Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Council for the 2023-2028 term.
Thanh Hoa city leaders presented the emulation flag of the Provincial People's Committee to the Thanh Hoa City Farmers' Association for its outstanding achievements in leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2022.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Thanh Hoa City Farmers' Union for the 2018-2023 term; the Provincial People's Committee awarded an Emulation Flag to the Thanh Hoa City Farmers' Union for its outstanding achievements in leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2022; the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 collectives and 12 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the Association's work and the farmers' movement for the 2018-2023 term.
